Water fun

I know it's been a while since I've done an update so here is what we did yesterday. We took the boat out on the river by our house and played with the water toys. Bryan, Nick and a few of our BMX friends took the boat out early and played all day, then I met them when I got off work and spent a few hours on the river. The weather was HOT! 103 degrees by 3:00 but the water temperature was a perfect 74 degrees! I didn't know the river would be so nice!

Nick and his buddies were able to get up and play on the kneeboard and they played all day long. Bryan pulled them up and down the river from Oregon City all the way into downtown Portland. Cruising the river was so much fun. There are some amazingly beautiful houses along the river! The boys were good and sunburned by the time I got there, but nobody was complaining. They all had such a good time! A fun way to spend the hottest day of the year!

Below are the photos of Nick on the kneeboard. He got pretty good and can actually do a 180 and go backwards for a while. The boy makes it look so easy!

Bryan and I both decided we are getting too old for this. He played on the wakeboard and kneeboard for about 10 minutes and now his back is hurting him. (Sorry no pictures of him. I had to drive the boat!) And I tried my wakeboard, but on my 2nd attempt I pulled the muscles in my arms and now can't grip anything! Can't even crochet now because my arms hurt too much!

All in all it was a great time though and since the temperatures are supposed to be 105 degrees for the next 2 days you can bet we'll be on the river for the rest of this week as well!
